Driving straight into Yanlong Avenue, a modern Leoking Environmental Science and Technology Park stands in Pingdi Subdistrict where Shenzhen International Low Carbon City is located. In 1993, Chen Jianxiang, the founder of Leoking, graduated from Tsinghua University and worked in Longgang District Water Supply Company. From technician to technical director to factory manager, he presided over the construction of a number of large-scale municipal engineering projects including Longgang central city water plant, laying a solid foundation for his commitment to environmental protection. In January 2016, Longgang District of Shenzhen City food waste collection and transportation treatment project by Leoking was officially put into operation, with a daily treatment capacity of 430tons. The Guangzhou Eastern Biomass Waste Integrated Treatment Plant invested, constructed and operated by Leoking Environmental Group has a daily treatment capacity of 2040 tons, which is the largest urban organic waste treatment project in the world.
